Z-MENU!
This is a program that will compress your ZZT worlds and savegames. It gives
you an easy to use environment for picking a game, then it decompresses
the world and savegames that you need to run the game. Then, it automatically
starts the game. When you quit ZZT, the game is recompressed and you return
to the menu

INSTALLING

Type SETUP to install z-menu.

BEFORE YOU RUN

If you have any worlds you DON'T want z-menu to compress, add them to the
EXCLUDE file
e.x. CODERED1
(The EXCLUDE file can be edited at any time, not just when you install.

RUN Z-MENU

Type "ZMENU" to start. Every time you run z-menu it will compress any new
games or savegames in your ZZT directory

USING Z-MENU
Use the arrows on the number pad(8,2) to move around the menu(make sure
numlock is on). Push T to change the description of a game. Push Q to quit
and ENTER to play a world. Push Pageup and pagedown on the number pad(9,3)
if there are too many games to fit on the menu.

UNCOMPRESSING GAMES AND SAVED GAMES
Run WORLDREM to decompress a world. It will be moved to the directory that
you installed z-menu. Same with SAVEREM. Decompressing a world will remove
it from z-menu. To put it back in, put it's ZZT or SAV in your zzt directory.

UNINSTALLING
If you want to uninstall, just unzip WORLD.ZIP and SAVES.ZIP to your ZZT
directory and delete z-menu.

SAVEGAME ERRORS
If you get an "error in savegame" message when you start z-menu, one of two
things can be wrong.
(1) The save game is messed up
(2) The savegame came from a world with a hacked ID byte
If the savegame is good and z-menu says it's bad, run SAVEFIX.

DEBUGGING
If you think something is messed up, type "ZMENU D" when running zmenu. This
will allow you to see any PKZIP output and error messages.
